Endorsements and Various Forums
With the general election only less than two weeks away, many union members and organizations are deciding who they would like to become the next mayor. Overwhelmingly, that choice has been D. Michael Collins. Recently, Mike has been endorsed by a diverse group of unions and organizations! Please visit the Page where all of these endorsements are listed.
Additionally, Mike has been quite busy traveling around Toledo, voicing his concern for the various issues the city faces in the large number of mayoral forums. The Toledo Blade has endorsed D. Michael Collins for Mayor! In the editorial, the Blade stated, "Toledoans deserve better leadership than they’ve been getting from the mayor’s office. In the mayoral election, The Blade recommends D. MICHAEL COLLINS as the candidate who is more likely to pursue the changes Toledo will need over the next four years."

Family House is a "non-profit organization dedicated to providing homeless families in crisis with professional, comprehensive housing and social services in a safe, caring environment." The caring attitude and selflessness of those who volunteer at this shelter is simply incredible. Our campaign was very thankful to come and help serve food during the community dinner.

D. Michael Collins filed his petitions to run for mayor of Toledo. In addition to having over 1,300 signatures and being the first to turn in the petitions, Mike also released his platform.
Some of the major points of his platform include: a reduced city income tax, hiring more police officers and firefighters annually, eliminating excessive city administrative positions, a reduction in... water bill rates for seniors, and work with the private sector in an effort to reduce "brain drain" in Toledo.
